Kindness Day falls on 20 May this year, and we are having a whole month of celebration! Celebrating kindness is easy as 1-2-3 by doing small acts of kindness.
Not sure what to do? Our Ground Up Movements have prepared a slew of events that you can be a part of! Take the opportunity to find out more about the life of a migrant worker and show your appreciation for their hard work, or you can visit the elderly of Jalan Kukoh who live alone. Know how to sculpt a balloon? You can brighten up the day of Jalan Tenteram residents while sharing a meal.
And there’s more.
What about appreciating cleaners at various hawker centres for tirelessly clearing our dishes and keeping Singapore clean and green? If you are a night owl, you could join the Gratitude Marathon to spread joy to nightshift workers. For early risers, jogging while spreading a smile is a sure way to start the day.
At the events, we will give out craft yellow gerbera daisies, signifying appreciation. You are invited to fold a daisy that contributes towards an art installation, which will be displayed at CHIJMES from 29 May to 5 June 2016.
Companies can also join in the celebration and promote kindness in the workplace by signing up for our corporate kit.
