Singa has been chosen as one of 100 National Icons that have defined Singapore over the years.

The Design Society, a non-profit organisation with the objective of raising the general standard of design in Singapore, selected Singa and put up a pioneer exhibition featuring other memorable symbols such as the logos from Singapore Airlines, People’s Association and DBS Bank.

Visitors to the exhibition were able to learn about the origins and development of Singa along with these other trademarks that proved to be significant to Singapore’s social history and visual culture. The exhibition was held at the National Library Building from 23 to 29 Jan.
