‘Project We Care’

ESM Goh was invited by Ms Wee Wei Ling (Chairperson of the Project We Care Committee and Executive Director of Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurants and Pan Pacific Group) to be the Guest-of-Honour for the ‘Project We Care’ Networking Lunch.

‘Project We Care’ is an initiative started by a group of passionate CEOs and the People’s Association (PA), and supported by National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) and Singapore Kindness Movement (SKM) to promote greater corporate volunteerism in Singapore.

ESM told the CEOs and senior executives at the lunch that it was good that they were looking for ways to contribute to society beyond their companies and profits. He encouraged them come up with innovative ideas to help the needy, or to complement existing programmes for the disadvantaged.

ESM also shared his thoughts on some of the recent social projects he had been involved in such as nurturing community leadership in the young through the Southeast CDC’s NextGen programme; raising funds to help needy students through private events such as the Goh Chok Tong ChariTee Golf; and working with MOH and other community organisations to promote active ageing and to roll out the Marine Parade Pilot Project on Ageing.
