Our school celebrated World Kindness Day (13 Nov 2010) on 11 Nov 2010 (Thursday). 13 Nov is a Saturday and 12 Nov (Fri) is our school's results processing day, hence pupils were not required to report to school.Posters were displayed all over the school on 9 Nov 2010 by our 5 FOS ambassadors. We encouraged pupils to either make a yellow flower or create anything (card or notes) to show their appreciation. We specially reminded everyone that it is the thought that counts, hence strictly no purchase of presents. On 10 Nov 2010, our Principal, Mr Sam Wong delivered the WKD message during the morning assembly. After which, each of our FOS ambassadors spoke about the activities to be carried out, such as issuance of postcards and Daisy templates (offered by SKM) during assembly. The school then watched 2 video clips on "Love your Ride".We received overwhelming responses with the postcards and Daisy templates being all issued within half an hour. As we were not able to provide everyone with a set, we have split the postcards and Daisy templates to maximise usage. (Can we have more next year? )Canberra Primary School had a wonderful experience celebrating World Kindness Day on 11 Nov 2010 (Thurs). With this short write up, we wish to extend our appreciation to Singapore Kindness Movement in promoting World Kindness Day and providing us with useful resources.Cheers!Warmest Regards
