One good deed begets another
On Saturday 19 June, I responded to the call from the Singapore Red Cross to donate blood and help bring up the national blood stock level.
I visited Bloodbank@HSA to give blood, and as I pulling out my handkerchief from my pocket, I dropped about $800 in cash accidentally.
As I called the blood bank to report loss that morning, I’d thought it was a ‘gone case.’ I had no idea where in the blood bank I dropped the money.
That afternoon, I received a call to inform me that my money was found in the toilet by a fellow blood donor. The kind soul had returned the money to the blood bank, and the customer service staff had informed me promptly.
I wish to thank Mr Ng Kok Han for returning my money and the staff at Bloodbank@HSA and Singapore Red Cross for their close follow-up. No words can describe my relief and gratitude – the money was meant for my Father’s Day dinner.
Indeed, one good deed begets another. Thank you, Mr Ng. And to all Singaporeans and foreigners residing in Singapore, please donate blood if you can. Let’s all help save lives.
Kok Wah Hing (Mr)
